Statement on Antisemitism

Antisemitism is a persistent and dangerous form of hatred expressed through prejudice, discrimination, or violence against the Jewish people, whether as individuals or as a collective.

In alignment with the definition adopted by the government of the United States, and based on the working definition of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, we understand antisemitism as a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward them. Manifestations of antisemitism may be directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals, their property, community institutions, and places of worship.

We recognize that antisemitism can take many forms, including but not limited to:

  • The promotion of harmful or dehumanizing stereotypes about Jewish people.

  • The denial or distortion of the Holocaust.

  • The collective attribution of blame, conspiracy, or wrongdoing to Jewish people.

  • The denial of the Jewish people’s right to self-determination, including the delegitimization of the State of Israel.

  • The application of double standards toward Israel not expected of other nations.

We affirm that legitimate criticism of any nation, including Israel, is part of democratic discourse; however, when such criticism crosses into demonization, delegitimization, or discrimination against the Jewish people, it constitutes antisemitism.

As faith leaders, we also recognize our historical and moral responsibility. Antisemitism is not only a social or political issue, but a deeply spiritual and ethical matter that requires discernment, education, and action.

At NAHPA Israel, we are committed to:

  • Educating our communities about the reality and dangers of antisemitism.

  • Promoting respect, dignity, and truth in all our public expressions.

  • Rejecting all forms of hatred, prejudice, or incitement against the Jewish people.

  • Fostering trust and understanding between Christian and Jewish communities.

  • Defending the right of the Jewish people to live in peace and security.

We believe that silence in the face of antisemitism is not neutrality—it is complicity. Therefore, we raise our voice with clarity, conviction, and responsibility.

NAHPA Israel stands firmly as a bridge of understanding, respect, and cooperation, committed to defending the life, truth, and dignity of the Jewish people worldwide.
